[Paraview] screenshot of high-res LIC plot (4.2.0 precompiled on mac yosemite)

Hello,
when I try to get a high-resolution (higher than windows or even display
size) resolution from a surface LIC plot using: File->Save Screenshot and
adjusting here the resolution (for example 2048x2048) I get a plots with
ugly borders that are apparently patched from plots of the size of my
"Render View" window. What would we the proper way to get such high
resolution plots?
