[Paraview] Plot 3D Function names

Folks,
I am new to paraview and while I am making some progress with the tool, I have not been able to figure out a few things....
I get a lot of data in plot3D format.
The data in question is in the "function" file
Paraview simply sees these as function1, function2 etc
Is there someplace I can actually specify text for those?
