[Paraview] how to know the type of a view?

Dear ParaView experts...

Is there any way to knwo what the type of a view is
within a python macro (e.g. from the return value of
GetRenderView())?
I'd like to know whether an exisiting view is, say, a
'MultiSlice' or not (and create one if none exists).
