[Paraview] Intersection a source with a grid?

I need to fill the interior of a CubeSource, a SphereSource etc. with
points that lie on a (HCP) grid.
The lattice constant of the grid is a parameter.
Can this be done in ParaView? Any hint to the solution is appreciated.
