Simon,

Just to clarify: yes, the binaries distributed on paraview.org do
indeed include a Python built from source using the same VS compiler
as we use for the rest of the build. Several of the dashboard machines
that run nightly tests and others typically don't use a Python version
built from source, but simply the binaries from python.org.
