[Paraview] [EXTERNAL] apply texture to a slice

I am pretty sure this is a bug/ feature hole.  I wrote up two bugs - 14608 and 14607.

Hello,

I am trying to apply a texture to a slice, my web search and maillist search gave me old methods which are not longer applicable for 4.x release.

Here is what I am doing

1) Load a 3d unigrid scalar data as xdmf
2) apply slice filter
3) apply texture map to plane

Under "Display" the only extra thing which becomes available is texture coordinates, there is no option to load texture file.

When I follow Burlen's example here, I only see "Prevent Seam" in properties panel http://www.paraview.org/pipermail/paraview/2013-April/028006.html

What am I missing?
