[Paraview] no data found using "find data"

Hi,

I'm new here...At the beginning I had a xls-file. To get it in in paraview, I made the following steps:
I deleted existing filters, saved the file as tab-separated-text, opened the new file with an editor and changed the time format and added commas to separate the values.
Why so complicated?
Because no standard save-as-technique with or without filters and time-formats did work.
So after all these steps paraview is able to read in the file.
Table-to-point filter works. Views work. Finding data does not work; any data is shown in the box after the query.

Suggestions from a former mailing-list-post such as:

"Can you try using some other simple query e.g. based on IDs and see if that works?"==>it doesn't work

Using the wavelet and then running find data by IDs  does work, but I do not understand the process.

The question: is there any possibility to simply run the find data query?  Or do I have to get behind the wavelet topic?

The file which I am talking about is quiet tiny: 1.315 rows and 8 columns.
