[Paraview] how to apply smooth scalar to a sphere?

I only know the scalars of some sampling points on the surface and inside
the sphere.I want to apply smooth scalars.No matter where and how I clip
the sphere,I can get a plane with smooth color.What is the prefered way to
do this?
