[Paraview] [EXTERNAL] Give Oil Slick appearence to points

Sounds like your data comes from a smooth particle hydrodynamics (SPH) simulation or something similar. Representing the particles as connected liquids is hard, and I don't think ParaView has very many solutions. 

You could try using the point sprite plugin to render the points as larger spheres. It will probably look more like a bumpy blob than an liquid, but the overlap will at least represent larger structures.
