[Paraview] QPainter::end: Painter not active, aborted

I'm using paraview 3.10.1 in interactive mode.
With nearly every graphical operation, I see on
console this set of messages repeated endlessly:

QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2
QPainter::setRenderHint: Painter must be active to set rendering hints
QPainter::setBrush: Painter not active
QPainter::end: Painter not active, aborted

What is this about?

I'm able to use paraview fine, so is this
some sort of warning? Can I fix it?
