[Paraview] Visualize quadratic multi cell type in a model

I was just wondering if there is a reason why the XDMF celltype codes are
not the same as the ones for VTK?

For example in VTK (through the python interface) I get for the quadratic
triangle cell type the following:

>>> t.GetNumberOfPoints()
6L
>>> t.GetCellType()
22
