[Paraview] animation series with xdmf format

A quick question: When I have multiple <Time> tags along with multiple
<Grid> tags, as mentioned in this link
http://visitusers.org/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1265131595, does paraview open all
the time steps at once or only when needed?
