I have had issues with older versions of Qt.  Update Qt to a more recent version?  4.6.2 is something like 3 years old.  I am using qt 4.8.1.  For me, I am getting libX from the standard place - /usr/lib64/...  Sounds crazy, but make sure it is in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH?
