Hi,

I am starting to use paraView to visualize geophysical property models,
with good success.

However, I have been running in to some issues/questions will
1. What is the NaN value in codes? I have region (the air) in a rectilinear
grid that I would like to exclude from the rendering. I would prefer not
having to use the threshold filter, since it changes the model into a
unstructured grid.

2. Using occtree meshes in paraview. I have been able to import octree mesh
made in an independant program in to paraView as a legacy unstructured grid
of the octree cells. I was that there is a .vso file format for octree, but
I haven't able to find any further information about the file format. Can
anybody recommend some sources? As well, is it possible to generate octree
grids in paraView, that I could export and use elsewhere?

3. Have been running into issues with extract subset filter. When I save
the state and load the state up, a get a strange behaviour for the boundary
values. All of the Voi's become -1 and can't adjust them. The pipelines
that follow still work, but if I re-apply the extract subset filter,
everything breaks. What could be the cause for this?

Above is a screenshot of the extract subset filter, after I load the state
into paraView again.

4.ParaView crashes quite frequently, when I turning objects on and off. Are
there any know issues that could cause this?

Thanks very much in advance for the help.
