[Paraview] 'getenv' error when building Paraview from source

Hi Matt,
It would help if you could include some details about OS, version of
ParaView, compiler and compiler version.
(By the way, you only need to compile ParaView yourself to be able to
build plugins as long as the ParaView development release is not yet
available. But you probably knew that already.)
