[Paraview] Bundled Version of HDF5 with ParaView

Is there a way to tell the HDF5 bundled with ParaView to build using the HDF5 1.6 API instead of the 1.8 API? My code depends on the 1.6 API and using my own built HDF5 doesn't seem to be supported anymore.
