[Paraview] Relative Paths in ParaView State Files

Is it possible to store the relative path of data files in ParaView state files instead of absolute paths? 

I've found that the state files become broken if you rename or move their parent directories. To fix this, you can edit the state files in a text editor and change all the absolute paths to relative paths. 

But is there a hidden switch or preference in ParaView that controls this? If not, it would be a nice feature.
