[Paraview] PV 3.8.0 refining a solution using triangulate

The Tetrahedralize filter simply turns all the cells into simplicies (triangles and tetrahedra). All the simplicies use the same points as the original cells, so the points are passed through and the cells are regenerated. You should see more cells if some got divided.
It sounds like you want a smoothing or subdivision filter. There are at least a couple of those available for surface geometry. I don't see anything for 3D polyhedra.

I clicked the Tetrahedrize filter. This creates mesh 2 or at least it
does something. information shows that mesh1 and mesh 2 have the same
number of vertices.
I want mesh 2 to be a finer mesh than mesh 1. What am I doing wrong? or
stated differently, can one refine a mesh using PV?
Thanks,
Stephen
