Luis,

With the 3.6.2 release candidate and  the latest CVS you can use the Python tracing to build a Python script that  does the operation you wish.  You can then edit the script if necessary  and make a macro for it.

One of the intentions of the Python  tracing/macro capability is to make creating solutions to these repetitive  processes easy.  If you try this, let us know how it works for  you.

Custom filter is  useful but it doesn't seem to be exactly what we would.
In fact, with  this filter we obtain the final result.
Instead, we would preserve in  our pipeline all operation:

1) slice
2)  contours
