[Paraview] Strange filter behavior

I just encountered a weird happenstance with ParaView 3.8.1 -- filters 
began auto-"Apply"ing themselves.  As soon as selected, they would 
immediately apply themselves -- I did not have to click on the Apply 
button in the Object Inspector.  I suppose there is some setting some-
where that I inadvertently activated to cause this behavior, but I sure 
don't know where or how it happened.

Anyway I deleted the ParaView3.8.1.ini file (Windows XP Pro) and started 
over -- the behavior is back to normal now.

Any clues as to how this happened?  Thanks!
