[Paraview] output vs input representation parameters

Hi,

This topic has already been mentionned in this mailing list, but I would 
like to bring it up once again : 
Would it be possible to modify the strategy used to determine which 
representation is created by default when a filter is applied and a new 
representation is created? 
The idea would be, when possible, to create a representation that is the 
same as the one of the input.
Users find it very difficult to understand that the representation always 
swtiches back to a default representation each time they apply a filter.
Some parameters seems to have been hard-coded to be copied, but it does 
not work with plugins (such as the point sprite plugin...).

Is it possible to 
1/ modify the strategy so that the output representation is by default the 
same as the input, when possible.
2/ copy all parameters of the representation by iterating over all 
properties of the represesentation proxy, so that all those properties are 
copied. This should work for plugins too.
