[Paraview] Error while saving data

I can't replicate this issue (which sounds like a bug). Can you
provide instructions/dataset to reproduce it?
I am not sure I understand your second question. Is this an axis
aligned slice? Should you be using Extract Subset instead (which
preserves the structured nature of the data).
