[Paraview] FFT of Selection over Time

There is an internal filter that takes a vtkTable and runs the FFT on all the columns of the table. There is also a filter that takes a vtkImage and runs the FFT. They are not exposed in the GUI, but it is pretty easy to do so if it helps.

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure that the Ensight Gold format supports fields that change over time. Identifying temporal data in the source file is really the "right" thing to do.

Thanks for the quick reply, Ken.

I forgot to mention that the data I am working with is in Ensight Gold format and the time step values are not stored within the file. What I would like to do is be able to create an array containing these values that the FFT filter can access once I have read in my list of files into Paraview. Is this possible? Or do the time step values have to be defined explicitly in the data file?

In the meantime, I'm going to take a look at the Exodus Reader to get a better idea of how the time step values are assigned.

This filter works basically the same as the Plot Selection Over Time filter. Load in a data set with time (you know, where when you hit play you see it animate). Select something, then apply the FFT Over Time filter.

I am interested in evaluating the FFT filter that now comes with Paraview.
However, I'm unsure how to pass the time data to it and I've been unable to
find its source files. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Adriano
