Just to elaborate/clarify on Dave's e-mail in the context of ParaView

i.e. if you are writing Python code for the programmable filter

i.e. if you are writing code for pvbatch/pypython/python/ParaView's
Python console AND you are not connected to a server

same as above but you are connected to a server
