[Paraview] [Xdmf] Problem when loading parallel data (SOS and XDMF)

Well, luckily we know the authors ;)
"spatial" collections of "temporal" grids should not be a
problem. It's just that we've only used "temporal" collections
of "spatial" grids to date; so the vtkXdmfReader might be making
some erroneous assumptions.
Even doing it as "temporal" collections of "spatial" grids you can still
use xinclude, it's just that the xml files that are pointed to by the
master file define spatial instead of temporal collections. Is the
reason you don't want to do this because the XML is being produced
by each node ?
Now that I see your XML I understand what you're trying to do and why.
This is a good example case to add some parallel improvements.
You're correct in that parsing a 1E6 XML file might be a bit
"performance challenged". I think the master file should have
one xinclude clause per timestep.
Before we implement some type of wildcard scheme, let me look
at the Xinclude a bit closer to see if it already supports what
we need to do. I'm no xinclude expert.
I'm not going to assume that the number of tets on each node
stays constant thru the entire simulation (eventhough in your
case it might.)
