[Paraview] segmentation fault while doing servermanager tutorial

Hi all

I am working my way through the servermanager tutorial
(http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/images/f/f9/Servermanager2.pdf) at the
moment. Whenever I reach page ten and type the line:
sphereSource.SetCenter(1.0, 1.0, 0.0) it results in a segmenation fault
and closes pvpython. Up to this point everything works in the tutorial,
i can also type the line when using vtkpython without a segmentation
fault. 
Has anybody encountered the same? Any help is appreciated.
I am using Suse 10.3.
