[Paraview] Mesa/Offscreen Rendering

Rick,

Are you simply getting the error message or it even fails to render? 
There's some issue (which I will look into hopefully soon) which results 
in that error message, but that should not affect the actual rendering.

Also just to confirm, you are using the --use-offscreen-rendering 
command line option on the server.
