[Paraview] slices

I use 3.2.1. When I try to slice a mesh with rectangular exterior 
boundaries, I place the slice at the minimum x value for the mesh which 
is -35.000. But the slice fails. I must enter a smaller value like -34.9 
to get a slice.
Any ideas as to what the problem is?

2_is there a better approach to have a slice exactly on the boundary 
(rectangular boundaries) ?
