[Paraview] Paraview first look - HELP!

Hi renan,
ParaView does not support .Dat type files written in unknown formats.
See the section  "What 3D file formats can VTK import and export?"
in the following link : http://www.vtk.org/Wiki/VTK_FAQ

Most of the formats listed hear are supported in ParaView as well.

To get a more detailed list of file formats supported go to
http://www.vtk.org/doc/nightly/html/classes.html
and look for vtkreaders for different formats.

so either you have to write your data in a standard format or convert it in to a compatible one.
