[Paraview] Crazy cmake and paraview

Hi,

I had downloaded and tried to build paraview3.2.1
which worked but kept crashing. Then I decided to
download ParaView3.2 and try that build. At this point
cmake refuses to give me any options. I get a blank
screen with only one option

CMAKE_BACKWARDS_COMPATIBILITY

what does this mean. What stupid thing have I done
wrong?

Any help would be much appreciated
