[Paraview] save as ply

Hi all,my name is Andrea, i'm new to the list.
I need to convert a vrml file to acis or iges format.

At this page
http://home.austin.rr.com/reubenrachel/reuben/3D/
it is suggested to convert vrml file into ply format, and then convert the
obtained file into iges format.

I've installed paraview, opened the vrml file and applied Delaunay 2D filter.
This correctly render the vrml file.
Now i need to save the file as ply format.
I select file-->save data, but i can save only as vtm format, ply is not
present. Why this ? Any help ?
