[Paraview] Merging coincident points

I am guessing one of the datasets is a multi-block dataset. Append
cannot handle those. There is no easy of appending blocks of a
multi-block dataset in paraview, I am afraid. This is a useful feature
so I will add a feature request to the bug tracker for 3.4. It is
possible to do this using vtk (with maybe python or tcl wrappers).
What is the use case? You need to apply some other filter that
requires merging points, I am guessing...
