[Paraview] Merging coincident points

Is it possible to merge coincident points in PV? I have some pieces of the
same models that I would like to apply filters as it were an unique dataset.
I already tried "group datasets" in PV-2.6.2 but it only groups without
merging the points. I also tried to "Convert to simple dataset" over the
"group datasets" result but PV crashed. The "append datasets" should do it
but it is disabled. Is there any other filter to try?
