[Paraview] preferred way to represent wells/boring locations

Hello,

I am experimenting Paraview for visualization of hydrogeologic data in
combination with GRASS GIS - I'd like to know if there are
reccomendations/suggestions concerning the visualization of features such as
wells or soil borings (i.e. vertical segments).
