do you have a default symlink -> to linux-g++ or something?

There's something wrong with your Qt setup if qmake keeps complaining about 
this.  Did you simply do
"./configure -prefix /home/fab/HOME/Dissertation/simulation_calc/qt4_2 && make 
&& make install" ?
