[Paraview] nested, transparent contours is broken

hi,

i have made isosurfaces of an object in paraview3, and i
want to have two levels of transparency, the 'outer' surface
with a lower opacity value than the inner surface.  however,
when i try to do this, despite both surfaces appearing to be
transparent, when the outer surface occludes the inner one,
i cannot see the inner surface at all (which i should be able
to view through the transparent outer surface).
