I built a 12 workstation cluster to use as a rendering cluster for ParaView. I am running X on all nodes and using 2.6.1 I get the infamous "cant open display". My question is that if I want to take full advantage of the graphics cards should I build 2.6.1 to use OSMesa and offscreen rendering ? Does this approach use hardware rendering?
