[Paraview] Is pvbatch available for PV3?

For me the key value of the previous batch support was that one could prepare a
batch job by running PV interactively, building the needed display, then
writing the current state to a file. The saved file always needed a little
editing but was a huge help in preparing the batch job.

Is there a way to do the analogous thing with PV3? That is, save the state of
an interactive session as a Python script?
