[Paraview] Error message : what does it mean

"ICET,0:ERROR: Sizes of src and dest do not agree."

I assume that the source and dest windows are of different sizes, and so
paraview can't composite.
If this is so, then what's causing it? and how can I fix it.

I'm running ParaView 2.6 "blind"-by which I mean I'm logging onto a
system remotely and can't see the displays themselves. I suspect
something is awry with the screen/DISPLAY or something.

There are 4 machines/graphics cards, but I am getting the output as
shown in the image. Only 1/4 of the data seems to be collected on the
client (which is a dumb X server and I don't want it to render anything).

Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?

thanks

JB
NB. The remote machines are MacOSX
