[Paraview] Interactive cell-picking

I'm attempting to put a filter together that requires the user to select
cell faces interactively. The filter front end is a combination of a QT
panel and pqLoadedFormObjectPanel object

Can anyone give any guidance for coding the cell picking?

i.e. from the clicked() slot of a QPushButton to activate the picking ->
pick a cell face in the ParaView main window with the mouse -> return
the cell id selected
