is there a way to trick paraview. for instances pointing for the grid
info to one file with an empty data field and for the pointdata to
another file with no grid info pointing to another file (one per
timestep)?

is the parallel vtk xml format supported?

where can i find more info about the paraview file format?

thanks
thomas
