[Paraview] Livedata 0.001

ParaView would be great for displaying data as it is being created. That would help you tell when a simulation that takes hours or days has gone astray so that you can stop it before too many resources are wasted.

I believe that Kitware is currently working on a way to do this sort of thing; until then, there is Livedata 0.001! It is relatively crude and only works with pvd files but might just be what you want. For more please go here:

This was used for the display at the recent Supercomputing conference, in Tampa, of data as it was generated on a Cray XT3 in Pittsburgh.
