[Paraview] how to build a simple application using "grass-output"

Hi,
i'm a grass - paraview user,
i've binary version of paraview,
and a source installation of VTK 5
(cocoa extension enabled, i'm on osx)

my question is:

how can i build using VTK - Paraview
a simple application
just like "cone-6" present in /vtk-tutorial/step-6/cxx
using a  "volume-file" generated  from "r.out.vtk"
instead the cone present in the cxx example?
can i reuse the same code with a grass - output?
