[Paraview] pv3 server pv2 client

I've been using a pv3 server and pv2 client for a bit of testing and it 
seems to be ok. Are the servers the same if I use cvs head updated at 
the same time - or do I need to be careful. AFAICT they seem to be the 
same, but I'm not certain.

Is it safe?
