[Paraview] Segmentation fault on ParaView 2.4.3

I downloaded the paraview-2.4.3 source and built it on SuSE Linux (kernel
2.4.9-45)

 ./bin/paraview gives me
Segmentation fault

Any pointers as to what may be the problem?
