Hi Renato,

yes, thanks. I had not been clear before. 
I knew about it, as it is mentioned in the Download section:

"Note that for the source downloads the .zip files have Windows newlines
and may not work on Unix while the .gz and .Z files have Unix newlines
and may not work on Windows."

Just wanted to point out that the "may" is indeed a "will" in case of
2.4.3 :-)
