I'd invite you to take a look at the ParaView "Dashboard", which is a
suite of hundreds of regression tests that are run on a nightly and
per-check-in basis, with publicly available results:

The breadth, depth, and transparency of ParaView testing exceeds that of
any QA process that I've come across in commercial software development.
