[Paraview] Choosing a Folder instead of a File to Open - OpenFoam

I am looking into writing a reader for OpenFOAM.  One hurdle with the 
openfoam format is that the data is a hierarchy of different files and 
folders but no one file that you would open.  So I would need to be able to 
specify a folder as the data I want to open not a file.  So my quesion is: 
is there a way to specify a folder instead of a file in "Open Data"?
