[Paraview] Can't save anything on OS X

Hi all

I'm a new Paraview user and very impressed by the capabilities though still
getting to grips with some aspects (such as formats for input files, more on
that later).

I am running 2.0 remotely on FreeBSD amd64 with no problems and 2.2 locally
on Mac OS X (10.4.2) - however whenever I try to save anything on OS X
nothing happens and an error message appears on the terminal, examples

Would be very grateful if someone could suggest to me why this is and if
there is a simple solution.  I am suspecting something to do with file
permissions but not sure how to proceed.
