[Paraview] value_range

Hello,

I have a user-defined reader with a time slider and am trying to get it 
to update the time slider if the number of timesteps changes.

There used to be the 'range_source' parameter 
(range_source="TimeStepRange") in the xml file which allowed me to do 
this but this does not seem to be working anymore.

Is there maybe a new way to do these kind of things?
